Online payslips

How to use our payslip portal to find and print payslips and P60s.

Important notice about your June payslip

Earlier this year we announced the Annual Pay Award for 2024 for eligible colleagues. This comes into effect on 1 June and will be paid in your June payslip. This means most colleagues can expect to see an increase of 1% or 2% depending on your Pay Grade, prioritising those colleagues on lower pay.

The increase affects those colleagues on our internal Pay Framework. Exceptions include those on Grade F Step 1, as this Pay Step will remain at the Real Living Wage rate (which was applied to these colleagues from 1 April 2024), TUPE colleagues on set Terms & Conditions, and As & When colleagues not on Step 1.

What will this look like?

  • Grades A, B, C, and D: You will receive a pay increase of 1%

  • Grade E: You will receive a pay increase of 2% (If you were eligible for the Real Living Wage increase adjustment, part of this increase will already have been paid in April, and you’ll receive any remaining increase in June if applicable. For example, if you received 1% increase in April, you will receive the further 1% increase in June)

  • Grade F*: You will receive an average pay increase of 2% (The total Pay Award for Grade F in 2024 was an average of 7.44%, with some being paid in April, and the rest being paid in June)

*Colleagues on Grade F, step 1 will not receive the Annual Pay Award increase, as you will have received the full Real Living Wage increase adjustment in April.

Accessing the portal

You can access the portal at home or at work, using any computer with internet access.

If you can't access the payslip portal at home or at work, contact your line manager who may be able to make a computer available. For financial and environmental reasons, we avoid posting payslips.

Signing into the portal

Go to Barnardo's payslip portal to log in or to register for the first time.

Note: if you are a new employee, you will not be able to register on the portal until your first payday.

You will need your National Insurance (NI) number to register. Once you have registered on the site, you can log in with your NI number and your chosen password. When you enter your NI number, do not include any spaces between the letters and digits.

Resetting your password

When you first register on the portal you answer five security questions. You will need to answer two of these correctly to retrieve your password if you forget it. The security questions are not case sensitive.

If you forget your security questions, contact payroll support so they can reset. Make sure you have your National Insurance number to hand.

When are online payslips updated?

We update the portal with your latest payslip on each payday (23rd of the month or the earliest weekday before that date). We delete payslips older than three years.

Printing payslips

You can print any payslip or annual P60 from the last three years.

You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view, download and print your payslip. This is already installed on all Barnardo’s computers. If you haven't got it on your home computer, you can download it for free from the Adobe website

Leaving Barnardo's

The portal stays open for three months after your leaving date. After this time, your account will be deleted. If you need to access the site after this time, contact payroll support.
