- You can apply for additional leave for a number of reasons including bereavement, caring responsibilities and work-related activities.
- Your line manager and line manager's manager must approve any periods of additional leave.
- Requests should be made using our HR and Finance system, Dynamics 365.
- This policy does not cover unpaid leave for more than 4 weeks, this is covered by the extended leave policy.
Your responsibilities
- Colleagues are responsible for reading, understanding and following this policy.
- As a line manager, you’re responsible for talking to your direct reports about additional leave, agreeing and recording it with through Dynamics 365.
- People Teams are responsible for advising and guiding colleagues and line managers on this policy.
- The People Strategy and Projects Team need to make sure this policy is up to date and complies with current legislation.
