No consideration will be given to previous learning for safeguarding induction. Only qualified social workers with more than two years' child protection experience and who can evidence participation in relevant child protection training in the last 12 months will be considered for APL for Module 1, there will be no APL for Module 2. If unqualified workers can demonstrate significant competence and experience in child protection some APL for Module 1 will be considered. The decision rests with line managers and must be recorded.
