Performance Development Review (PDR)

A PDR is for Barnardo’s employees who have successfully completed their probationary period and who have one year’s service or more on 1 April 2023 (see Policy for PDR eligibility).  

It is an opportunity to reflect on your contributions, achievements and learnings. Together with your manager, you can use this discussion to decide on a clear focus for future priorities and objectives. 

What does the PDR process look like for the remainder of 2023/24? 

Colleagues who sit in Grades, D, E and F should follow this PDR process until 31 May 2024. In line with our new approach to Performance and Growth, you will be introduced to the new Cycle in Spring 2024.

You should have your end of year PDR meeting with your manager between by 31 May 2024. Please review your achievements since your previous PDR meeting, and take a longer-term view and look ahead to the future around possible performance objectives and learning and development goals.
