Guides for Microsoft Accessibility within Windows 10 on your device and Office 365 applications

There are many tools that Microsoft has created to improve accessibility for its users. Some of these are within Windows 10 on your device, some are through Office 365 applications.

These guides are divided into sections that mirror Microsoft’s own accessibility headings:

  • Vision
  • Hearing
  • Mobility (including speech)
  • Neurodiversity
  • Learning
  • Mental Health

For each accessibility group, there are official Microsoft pages and guides which go into more detail - links to these have been supplied in each guide for further information.

Many of the accessibility tools can help with more than one accessibility requirement. Examples of these are support for keyboard interactions, the dictate and read aloud features, support for customising displays (such as colour and high contrast) and turning off notifications for less distraction. These crossover tools are referenced in each guide that they are relevant to in order for you to be able to stay within the guide of your choice.
